Titre : Galois groups of abelian varieties and exceptional Tate classes

Résumé : The Tate conjecture states the codimension r cycles on a variety can be described in terms the étale cohomology H^{2r}. I will discuss when the Tate conjecture for abelian varieties over finite fields can be proved by intersecting divisors, extending previous results of Dupuy–Kedlaya–Zureick-Brown, Lenstra–Zarhin, Tankeev, and Zarhin. This is joint work with Santiago Arango-Piñeros and Sameera Vemulapalli.
